Hope Collage Framed

Hope Collage

This was a fun collage to create. I collaged the background, altered the picture, used Tim Holtz's new product (the design around the picture) and painted the grunge board black and added embossing powder. I then used rub-ons for the flower and the word "Hope". Then I added a bronze brad in the middle of the flower. I also used Tim Holtz's alcohol ink to the picture to create the appearance of rain drops.

Return to the Art Room

It had been almost a month since I journaled last. It felt so good to be in my art room again, journaling.

Virginia

I'm still in Virginia, flying home tomorrow. The best part of my trip was reading in the hotel. Not just any book, but the new novel, True Colors, by Kristin Hannah. What a great read so far, it's probably what I will remember most about this trip:)

Saturday am

I set the alarm last evening for 615AM to prepare for a 5K run today. I thought I must be crazy, its Saturday (the day to sleep in), however during that COLD run, it felt like an accomplishment. My first 5K:)

Jeans

I love my jeans. My jeans represent everything that I enjoy about life: Spending time with family, time for reading, going to the movies, creating art, and of course a cup (or two) of Starbucks coffee. I come home immediately at night and adorned jeans. It symbolizes another work day over and a day closer to the weekend in jeans!!

Holiday

It was great having an extra day to the weekend, what a bonus. I loved spending the day with my daughter. We went to see a very cute movie, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and returned home to eat Amy's meals from the health food store. Something I am very proud of today, I ran 4.5 miles on the treadmill and I created art:) A great day, sad to return to work tomorrow.

Past Art Projects

These are some of my past art projects. The altered book, self-portrait, was lost in a round robin mailing group. I am so glad that I scanned my work, it was my favorite book cover.

The New Bulletin Board

Creating Art

I decided to alter a bulletin board that my daughter no longer wanted in her room for my art room. Here is the bulletin board prior to altering.
